Subject: Re: CHECK ENGINE light - Any ideas?

I have a 91 900i 2litre 16V with the same problem. I've had it thoroughly checked by factory trained mechanics on several occasions and no defect has been found. However, it then started running rough and was occasionaly hard to start, once again the mechanics could find nothing wrong. So far I've spent around $2000 replacing various compents in attempting to fix the problem, all to no avail. My advice is sell the car it was probably made first shift on a Monday by the same disgruntled employee that made my shit heap.
