Aha, well that explains it. The cars sent to the US don't have the same specs as the Euro versions. I'm not sure if it's because of our odd emissions standards or deliberate tweaking for the US market but the specs are definitely different. For example the S80 T6 that ships here has a different power curve and a peak horsepower of 268 horses while the version in Europe peaks at 272 horses from what I've read. I've seen other discrepancies over the past few years between the different markets.
