My brother-in-law has an 86 9000 turbo . Can I use that AMM in the > 87 ( no turbo )? Sure can... Another thing to test, which I forgot to mention, is your fuel pump. There are actually two pumps - a small feeder pump which sucks gas from the tank, and a larger pump which then sends the gas to the engine. If your feeder is going bad, you can have low-speed drivability problems. If you've got a fuel pressure tester, you can hook it up to the fuel rail and test it out... Oh! Along those same lines, you might consider replacing your fuel filter - on 9000s it's quite easy, as it's in the engine compartment. They should be changed every 30k, 50k on the outside, and failure to do so can give you a clogged filter which restrict flow - especially at low speeds. -Justin
