Apple & Orange comparisons are all very well, but don't tell you anything
interesting. The A6 is IMHO a much more reasonable comparison:

A6 2.8 30V, 200hp, 207ft-lb, weight 3560lb, price $33750

... and put the $3000 you saved into performance mods, quattro, etc etc
