Hello: I've had two 9000 CSE's, both demonstrated bad transmissions. The auto trans in my '96 has been replaced twice, second time with a new 'spring kit' retro fit, which has apparently only been available in the past year. The 'kit' helped for about 15K miles, then back to clunk, surge, clunk. I would like to discuss your SAAB story, as I'm looking into filing a Class Action Suit against SAAB because THEY KNOW of the chronic problems with their cars. The regional rep told me to check out the new 9-5, then told me that the transmission and climate control problems have been cured in the 9-5. The truly unbelievable thing is that he/they would never acknowledge those areas as being 'trouble areas' before. Each time I complained, they treated me like I was unreasonable. Now, the SAAB dealer whom I've done business with for 20 years, won't service my car. Flat refusal. SAAB Cars USA says all their dealers are 'independent' and 'Corporate' can't speak for them. Let's stand up for fairness and honesty, at least try! Sincerely, Kevin H.
