Subject: Re: Audi weak????

The first observation is it is surprising to me Audi is so lacking in the performance area in light the output of their engines (even without quattro). I noticed in Europe a 4.2L engine is available for the A6. Curious if anyone has insights into why the nicer performing cars from Audi, BMW, MB, Nissan Skyline, etc are detuned, delayed, and in some cases kept out of the US market? Judging by the NG's, it would not seem due to a lack of interest!
