Subject: Question on Brakes

Maybe someone can help me. I've got an 88 900 8 vavle, with the Girling brakes. The brake pedal went soft the other day and only really starts to do anything right near the floor. Pushing on the clutch brings that point to about half way down the pedals travel, I assume because they both use the same circuit. Pumping them does nothing to bring the pressure back up....and it's becoming annoying/dangerous. What the hell is wrong with it. All I can think is the master cylinder or air in the lines. Just bled the brakes and it did nothing. Figured I'd ask here before I went ahead and ordered the new master. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance Steve Sullivan wstphalianopsamcom "I am a bear of very little brain..."
