Subject: Re: Wiper assembly (repairable?) story

Alex, I had an 83 900T 5spd I bought new and picked up at the factory in May 83. In Feb 84 I shipped the car back to the States for my next assignment to Keelser AFB, MS. I was there about 6 months before the same thing happened to my driver's side windshield wiper blade. The cable and pulley assembly separated. I was fun driving from Biloxi, MS to New Orleans with one wiper working in a rain storm to have the Saab dealer, Bailey Lincoln-Mercury-Saab, fix my Saab. Found out in 1983 there was a technical service bulletin on that problem. The dealer covered most of the cost. I have seen a few other postings about this problem with other 900 models between 83 and 88. Thought they would have fixed the problem sooner. Ken Washington 87 9000S 87 900S 83 900T
