Merlin, i also have an 86S, i don't believe there are any fuses other than the ones in the drivers side fuse box under the hood, the other thing to check would be the brightness (intensity) dimmers (rotary knob switches) in the instrument panel (dash), there are 2 one for the center console and one for the dash lights...
