My dealer told me (after I made the same experience with my '93 9000CS, but no Burger King, I just went from a car ferry with some hubs on the floor) that mainly '93 models are affected of too high resistance in that cable. It have to be shifted. But try this (I tried after the dealer told me the cost of the repair...;-): Reset the electronics by releasing the battery for at least 15 minutes or maybe up to 30 minutes.
