Subject: Epoxied-on '96 900S Distributor Rotor

What is with super gluing the rotor on the distributor shaft? Trying to prise off the rotor nearly caused me to damage the Hall effect unit. I literally had to hammer (fracture) the rotor off, all the while worrying about bending the shaft. A small amount of a locktite compound would suffice (if this is even necessary) to keep the rotor completely on the shaft. Has anyone ever had a problem with the rotor moving up in the shaft if any 'glue' is not used? Is there a rotor with a set screw (like my 944 has) to keep the rotor firmly set? This is another instance where I am questioning where the Saab engineering is coming from... Herb
