You do have to slice through the paneling to hook up your changer. You also have to slice through the paneling if you have the Saab accessory CD mounting kit. To figure out where you need to remove the plastic trim that runs on the top left by the rear speaker (I believe there are a couple of screws that need to be removed. Once you have this off, you can gently pull the paneling away from the car and you can see where the mounting kit attaches as well as where the cable is. There is a little bit of extra length in the cable so there is a little room for error in cutting.
