Turbo's are great, require little maintaince, but nothing you should't already be doing. changing th oil every 3000k is the first big thing, use 10w-30 synthetic or normal oil, or alternate: 0w-30 (mobil-1 synthetic) or if in extreme heat(south USA in summer or S. America) use 5w-50 casrtol syntec) besides that, keeping the coolant level up and clean -flush every 2 years is a big deal, as on 89-93 turbo 900 classic, the turbo is water AND oil cooled! you willwant abs brakes, airbag, and water cooled turbo. choose 1990-1993 Turbo's. expect to pay between $3000-$13,000 for a 93 in great condition. I chose the SPG 900 ('91 black, red APC), which is an ALL OUT OPTION OUT YOUR Hiney SAAB 900/. last year made was '91, but a '90 is very close( no headlamp washers) they came in black and red for both years, and Beryl green in 91 I saw a 91 SPG for sale on rec.autos.marketplace It comes fro a very reputible shop on the east coast, check it out! If I hadn't found mine 4 days earlier, I might have bought this one there! Mark nomad wrote: > > First now that I can do newsgroups I want to say how > beautiful I think the old 900's were.
