Access the ACC fan unit through the engine compartment, by removing the false firewall. You *can* do it yourself, but the job takes a few hours. Get the Haynes manual for this job. As for the clutch, your friend was referring to replacing the clutch in a 900. That job is under an hour - don't even have to remove the rad. As for the 9000, the transversely-mounted engine complicates this. Not sure, but I think you have to drop the engine, or at least the tranny. Not simple like on the 900.
