Sounds like you have something else going on there. The correct procedure is to tighten the 4mm adjuster in the caliper until the wheel cannot be turned,(with the cable disconnected), back off on the adjuster 1/2 turn, then adjust the cable until there is .010" between the lever and the lever stop pin. This is easy to do by loosening the cable until there is slack, slip a .010 feeler gauge between the lever and the pin, and tighten the cable until the feeler gauge fall out. No need to remove the feeler gauge from the pack. If you adjust everything this way the laver should have to come up at least 1/2 way before the em. brake engages. Do not tighten the cable adjustment to make the brake engage sooner. If you do the adjustment this way and you still have a problem, there is probaby something wrong with one of the calipers. Pat
