My 1986 900S has 290,000 miles on it. I had the transmission replaced at 233,000 and it has run great. ( I bring it to Saab specialists.) When I bring my car in for service, the mechanics pat it on the hatchback and say "They don't make 'em like this anymore." Also, the bumpers on the 1986 are huge bumper-car fenders.
