Yes, you probably can, but should be wary of rubbing.  The maximum size tire
I would recommend is 205/50-16, as a 205/55-16 will rub excessively.

Even so, you may experience slight rubbing on the rear tires going over
large bumps, etc. depending on the stiffness of your suspension.
