I remember seeing ads in the papers in the 70s and 80s for used Jags with Chevy or Ford V-8s in them "The Jag luxury with Ford/Chevy reliability" they touted. Sacrilige I said!! Who would buy such a thing?? I never would have thought that in 1999 you buy a brand new Jag and its already fitted with one!! Whats next for Saab, a big v-8 and vinyl seats?
