Subject: 9000 CDE engine disabling

Hi.. My dad just bought a beautiful '96 9000 CDE V6. It has a key fob button which locks the car and disables the engine. I'm curious if there is a way around the system if the key fob battery dies while the car is locked and engine disabled - I'm guessing you can still get into the car by manually unlocking the doors, but the engine won't start. Can anything be done to start the car other than getting another battery for the fob? Just trying to plan for a worst case scenerio in advance.. Thanks, Steve 88 900 `'*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:*'` << Steve Brezina >> sjbrezinanopsamrgrad.math.uwaterloo.ca `'*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:*'`
