Subject: Checking oil level-9000



Can someone clear this up for me. When checking the engine oil level on a
9000(mine is a '92) do you compress the spring in the spring loaded cap or
just insert the dipstick as far as it will go without compressing the
spring. The owners manual is unclear on this and I bet alot of mechanics are
as well.
