Subject: Re: Why Saab?

My insurance rated my '85 900T the same as my '86 Honda Accord LX. BTW: I got my Saab with 104K mi. about 5 years ago. It did need some repairs--and still does. But I'm very happy with it. Great pickup! Great handling on windy roads or Interstates. It does very well on relatively inexpensive Dunlop all weather tires. The manual transmission is supposed to be a weak component in that vintage. It could go as early as 125K mi. Mine is still fine at 170K. I do use Slick 50 for manual transmissions. Maybe it works. I was uncertain about buying it, too. If you get a used one, have a good mechanic go over it. It's well worth it.
