Subject: Vibration problem in 1987 900s

I jut bought a 1987 900s, very clean and got a deal on it. It has only one problem that I can detect. I'm getting a vibration (quite noticable) that seems to be comeing from the front end. I can feel it in the steering wheel and through the seat. It starts out at about 35mph and gets worse as the speed climbs. My first thought was front end out of alignment...but...I do NOT get the vibration when I'm off the gas such as when going down hill. The worst time seems to be when holding freeway speeds (65mph or so) on flat ground and when adding just a bit of throttle (again at freeway speeds). I am going to be taking the car in the end of the month but I'd like to have some idea of what's going on before I let the mechanic see it. To recap symptoms. 1. Vibration from front. 2. Worse when accelerating slowley at freeway speeds. 3. No vibration when off the gas. 4. No miss or other engine problems. (smooth acceleration in all gears) Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help! Dean
