Subject: ACC/Anti-Freeze Smell

Hi, I recently bought a 1993 Saab CS with 70K miles. I've never owned a Saab before. Mainly I bought it because the car seems to run really well, and the body is in perfect shape. No rust anywhere, including the undercarriage. I noticed though that when the air conditioning comes on with the ACC, I smell anti-freeze. If I shut ACC off, the smell goes away. Any ideas why this is happening? Also, can the ACC set so the default is OFF whenever I start the car? Also...the interior temperature sensor (below the clock) seems to have a small fan in it that continues to run even after I shut down the car. Is this normal? Thanks in advance for any comments. John
