I have owned this car since it was new, and love it. I've had no serious problems over 260,000 miles other than maintenance items, brakes, water pump, alternator, etc ... however, in the heat of the day, above say 75 degrees, it's begun to cut out while driving. i end up firmly holding the gearshift or it pops out of gear, power is greatly diminished while scaling an upgrade, and it seems that the engine is simply stopping to run for a moment at a time. i've replaced both the feeder pump in the gas tank and the primary fuel pump, and the fuel pressure is good while measured in the gagrage. however that did not solve the problem, which is intermittent, and as i said related to ambient temperature. my local dealer has been trouble-shooting this for a couple of days, and is puzzled so far. if any of you have any ideas about how to remedy this situation, please email me directly at philip21nopsam.com thanks!
