(especial old S900) Well, this topic is very interesting for me too! There are two solutions: change only the rotors and the pads or change the whole braking system. When you change only the rotors the Brembo rotors might be quite nice, but there is no special rotor manufacted for the Saab 900. So lots of the "tuners" take an equal Brembo rotor and drill holes in it - thatīs quite simple but very dangerous, cause the rotor can break ("explode") when you break hard - then you really got a problem. (wheel blocks and total break failture) Well, there are some "cross grooved" rotors and "cross drilled" rotors also available directly form Brembo, but as they told me (Brembo Italy) thereīs no one specifically available for the Saab 900. Here in Austria/EU one would need a certificate that shows that a part was successfully tested on this car (ABE-norm) what allows you to use an upgrade legally. Iīd like to know what Abott Racing or Trend Saab think about that..? When someone knows more about that, please post....
