A question like this has appeared several times. I can imagine that it is awefull when your car is allways in the garage but as far as I am concerned, and those days obviously I have to be careful because otherwise I will be insulted again at my private e-mail address, I think Saab is very reliable. Let me give you (again) a little overview of our past and current Saabs : Past : **1990 9000 CD : bought new, my father drove 240.000 kms with it without a single cost (except the regular of course) : I crashed it completely when some s**** came out of a little street without even watching. I didn't even touch the brake ** 1986 900 Turbo 8v : my brother's first Saab. He bought it with 100.000 kms on the account and drove it untill 200.000. Then he changed for a 9000 because of the growth of his family. One 'major' repair on the clutch for about 500 $ ** 1983 900 GLi : my first Saab. I paid 625 $ for it at my dealers. I drove 30.000 kms with it and sold another one. One major repair : the starter engine : 250 $. ** 1989 900 Turbo 16s Aero : my father's second Saab after I crashed his CD. Bought it at 100.000 kms and sold it with 150.000 kms. Bought a 9000 because of grandchildren. Current : ** 1994 9000 CSE : my father's car, bought at 120.000 kms, meanwhile about 145.000 kms ** 1994 9000 CS : my brother's car, bought at 100.000 kms, now 120.000 kms ** 1988 900 i : my Saab, bought it last month with 145.000 kms on it. Yesterday I hit the 149.000 kms. Should I say more ? Johan 83 900 GLi (parting out of this car) 88 900 i 94 9000 CS 94 9000 CSE
