I bought a K&N air filter + cleaner kit two weeks ago from Swedish Performance Group 9 in Atascadero, Ca, USA http://www.spg9.com/. It costed me US$95 including tax and shipping to my home in Canada. I think you can find cheaper but I had a good contact with the guys of SPG9. They send me some detailed explications with photo, by mail and e-mail. So the installation of the kit was very easy. Because of the turbo engine, the improvement brought by the K&N filter unit is important. I feel more torque at lower RPM. I don't want someone to ask me how much hp I have won, I do NOT mind !!! I just improved my driving pleasure, what francophones call : "l'agrément de conduite" and that is the only thing I wanted. The car is smoother in the city, especially in stop-and-go. It is a bit stronger in full power accelerations in 3rd and 4th, reaching 150km/h is so easy now... Overtakings on heavy trafic roads are quicker (even on the 5th gear), you really "play" to get rid of these 53' long trailers we see everywhere in America :-) And less important but significative though, I suppose to have won a few km/h in max speed because I reached twice 210km/h this week without effort, which was not the case before. Perhaps I could now go to 225 on circuit or perfect open free road. My SAAB is 1991 and has 125000km, I am going to save money now avoiding to replace the stock air filters every 10 or 20000km as I used to do. I choose K&N kit instead of boosting the APC because it is a NATURAL way the get more torque. Though, I will perhaps be seduced by chiptuning one day, when I will be able to afford of course ! But remember one thing : chiptuning makes the engine working harder, a K&N (or equivalent) makes it working better. Let me know if you decided to buy and what are your feelings with it.
