Of course an oil leek could be all kind of things. My 1988 900 i produces a small oil leak after driving. It seems to be the steering rack which is leaking a little bit (in total 1/2 liter on app. 5.000 kms ). I heard nothing but bad about replacing the rubbers on those steering racks.
