Good features (supercharger, 5spd, 4 wheel independent, electron- ically controlled suspension, ABS, JBL stereo). 120k miles w/a couple maintenance issues. Disadvantages, 400 lbs heavy and not everyone can get the brakes right. Replace- ment electronic shocks a little expensive. Wife's: 1993 Taurus SHO. Fast, quiet, comfortable, nearly invisible. IE most of the above in 4-doors and FWD - works better for family and winter. 100k miles w/some annoyances that I attribute to waiting too long to change shocks/struts. Disadvantages, must be careful where you go for service, and a couple chronic Taurus foibles like noisy speedo cable and no-op cruise control. Spare: 1984 Ford Bronco. None of the above. But when the others won't do the job this will, whether due to inclement conditions or size of things to be moved or pulled. Have had good luck w/my Fords over the last 20 years. The problem now is what to replace the first two with, as the Cougar's had 4 "incidents" (only one my fault) and is star- ting to look like hell; wife wants heated seats and manu- matic. -- Jeff
