Subject: CV joints on their way out?

Saab 900 8v turbo: These things are always hard to detect but I was wondering whether anyone can tell me whether the symptoms I have indicate that my CV joint is going or whether it might be something else. When I accelerate hard I can hear and feel knocking from the front left wheel (especially from low speed). Also, when I corner hard I can feel and hear a similar sort of noise. It can’t be the wheel bearings because I had these changed less than a month ago. The other possibility is that the inner universal joint is on its way out. Last month the inner universal joint on the right-hand side snapped in spectacular fashion so this has raised my fears that this item on the left-hand side might be to blame. Can anyone enlighten me? Thank you in advance for your help. Alan. Brighton England
