I read that the newer 'CH-4' rated diesel engine oils, like Shell Rotella T are
good engine cleaners.... they have lots of detergents.

So I tried it.

I did an oil change and used 15W-40 Shell Rotella T and left it in for 1200
miles.This was in a well maintained  'clean' high mileage motor.....I had no
problems.
