Question: 1990 9000 turbo 5 speed. When I let off the accelerator after having been somewhat lead-footed, the idle drops to zero and I need to re-engage the clutch to start the motor again. It doesn't seem to matter if the A/C is on or not, and it never happens if I keep the clutch engaged. Idle is a little rough from about 850 to 1000 rpm. If I am driving at highway speed and disengage the clutch, the engine speed remains high 2000-2500 for nearly 30 seconds. Does anyone have any ideas? Maybe the AIC or the pressure switch? How can I determine the cause without mass parts replacement. Thanking you in advance. Stephen Ellison
