On Sat, 31 Jul 1999 00:07:05 +0100, just as I was about to see how much duct tape you REALLY need to stop a gerbil from exploding, "Clive Robey" <SAMUELnopsamys.freeserve.co.uk> distracted me by babbling thusly: >I had a similar problem on my 900. Thanks but I managed to solve the problem by the fact that I am on good terns with some wreckers here. One place lent me the spacer ring (and gee it's handy - can't imagine using spark plug wire) and another place lent me the (huge) SAAB pry bar to pop the fingers in. Spacer ring expanded right in - bingo. Piece of cake. Having gone through the learning curve, I know now that it is really a trivial job to change a clutch in a 900 series - providing you have the tools. I'm going to measure up both the spacer and pry bar and do a drawing in AutoCAD on them, then get a metal works to make me up same.
