I love to pass on SAAB info. what year and what rim are you riding? A turbo has a lower spring and thus is great with a WIDER tire. I'm thinking that a 215/50/16 would do nice. wider, softer, more air is needed when you switch on my 900SPG M91 , the tire goes from a 185/6015 to a 195/60 15, and air is 36 cold PSI front, 38PSI rear. Tire Calculator based on that Your 16 inch 9000 wheel go to a 205/50-205/55, the tire is much(.8inches) taller, and not any wider. the 205/50-215/50 change takes it .4inches taller and .3 inches wider. a better fit for a road tire. the other, the 205/55 looks like a snow tire! (tall and narrow) verdict-215/50 16 is the softer road tire: Having that much more rubber on the road should improve traction, give softer, less harsh pothole ride and increase over steer, thus increasing the steering strenth (in your arms). The 50's are awful on our pothole filled roads. -----Original Message----- From: turbospgnopsamsouth.net <turbospgnopsamsouth.net> Newsgroups: alt.autos.saab To: Seeker <aandyknopsams.com> Date: Monday, August 02, 1999 5:55 PM Subject: Re: 1991 9000-T A/C Question >just get a low milage compresser from the junkyard! >expect to pay $125 or so. >Mark > > >Seeker wrote: > >> According to my mechanic, die in the freon reveals a leak in the compressor! >> Since I have to replace that, does anyone know where to get a decent rebuilt >> one? >> >> If the compressor has to be replaced, is this the time to do a conversion to >> the new coolant?
