--WebTV-Mail-9123-2339 Content-Type: Text/Plain; Charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7Bit hi alan......to answer your question......i wouldnt bother swapping.......not that this isnt a good idea but heres one for u o try.......the clamp on the inner cv joint is a big hose clamp....just undo it and peel the boot back.....look at the inside of the cup........is it a brown rusty color???????.....i have been saab specialist for 11 years.......the grease inside the joint gets hot....then disipates....turns color.....in turn makes the needle bearings inside the cup balls to stick.....also wearing out the cup.....this will cause a shimmy or shudder while accelerating.....i would reccomend changing the balls and cup.......when doing this take a piece of flat stock or even an old brake pad and slide it in under the top control arm....then raise the vehicle.......this will keep the spring from relaxing...then u can take the upper ball joint bolts out and the axle nut.....also undo the tie rod end from the knuckle.....slide the top ball joint out.......this will give you enough room o pull the cv joint out of the knuckle for axle removal.....the inner cup has to be unbolted from the diff......watch out for the shims and gasket....very easy to rip.......when u have the cup out....tip it upside down and remove the c-clp.....the cup should slide off.....hope this helps...take care.....jon. --WebTV-Mail-9123-2339 Content-Description: signature Content-Disposition: Inline Content-Type: Text/HTML; Charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7Bit <html> <bgsound src="http://www.geocities.com/SouthBeach/Jetty/4707/realA/dontworry.ram"loop="true"> </html> --WebTV-Mail-9123-2339--
