Are ya sure? Redline is 6000. Are you bumping up against the rev limiter
at 5500? Wierd thing I observed today on my 87 SPG: The rev limiter
didn't kick in until around 6300! It always put a hold on things at
exactly 6000. Hmm...
If your not bouncing against the rev limiter, your not driving hard
enough!!!
