Subject: 85 900T brake Q?

Hi all I've got an 85 900T 8 valve which has a prob with the brakes. The pedal feels firm enough when car is standing, but fire the engine up and the pedal drops (when pressed) to the floor, with the brakes hardly effective at all. I suspect the servo, as I've bled the brakes and they seem ok (no bubbles etc). Theres no grey smoke from the exhaust, but I still suspect the servo in some way. a) does this sound likely, or .. b) could it be a rubber brake hose expanding & contracting & therefore reducing braking efficiency? Like I say, with the engine off, the pedal feels AOK. Comments anyone? Other than that the car is pretty good ... for sale for about £500ish cheers Rick
