Douglas, I have only had two personal experiences with Jiffy Lube, and those were in the early 90's. Neither of those experiences was an outstanding one. My bias is based on feedback I received from a manager of an auto facility. His friend was a manager at a Jiffy Lube in the Baltimore area. His friend told him they used bulk recycled oil. That is not what I want in my Saabs. I have been using Castrol GTX since 1985. Aside from that I have heard several complaints of people getting their oil and filter changed at Jiffy Lube, and having the drain plug replaced loose or not at all. I know this has to do with the competence of the people doing the work, but if a manager or supervisor is not going to properly train people and inspect their work, it is like the bumper sticker, "Shit Happens", and sometimes it is bad. Besides I think they are overpriced.
