Chris, You're asking an awful general question here. A 15-year-old car with 200K miles could be almost trouble-free, if many things have been replaced, or it could have 100 things wrong with it. I would get an independent mechanic to check it out if I were you. One other note - for only a little more money ($1000-1200 range), you should be able to get a 1986 or 1987 "S" model with more equipment and the newer, better-performing, more efficient 16-valve motor.
