I've got a freind who's a bit like one of those mad mechanic people from mad max, you ask for an oil change and come back 1hr later to find BRM V16 shoehorned into the front of my 88 Saab 900i, well not quite but whatever he's done this time I LIKE IT. Up to 2500rpm it behaves normaly, go past this and the car takes off, and I mean really takes off in the eye lids arounf forehead sense. The only thing I can see different is that some of the tubing (vacuum tubes etc.) has changed and the injectors are different. Any Ideas what he's done becuase I'd love to know Dean Malandris <wwwnopsamus-technologies.com> wrote in message news:37b50c86.148936812nopsam.zip.com.au... > On Fri, 13 Aug 1999 08:54:02 -0400, just as I was about to see how much duct > tape you REALLY need to stop a gerbil from exploding, "Eric Law" > <elawxnospamxnopsamecsxnospamx.com> distracted me by babbling thusly: > > >FYI/FWIW: > >The earlier turbo cars (thru about '84 or so) had a metal strap between the > >throttle body and the intercooler or turbo pipe, just to prevent this from > >happening.
