One day I started my 84 900s and it wouldn't idle. It ran at highway speeds but would die if I took my foot off the gas. The garage replaced the injectors, which I knew were ready to be replaced, they were originals (now has 124,000 miles). They also replaced the idle air control valve. The car seemed to run OK right after this work but the problem reappeared after a day, although now it doesn't always die completely but will flutter to near death for several stop lights and then suddenly start to idle fine at 1,000 again? Would a bad fuel pump act this way. I've had them go out before on my 99s and they always just went like that, no gasping deaths. This problem first showed up one morning after the car was parked near our lake cabin. I'm wondering if something might have crawled into the air intake and is causing something to stick. Any ideas on what I can try would be appreciated. This forum has helped me solve problems the garage couldn't before. Thanks in advance. Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Share what you know.
