The ACC has a whole boatload of programming features which are noted in your manual. I can't remember the sequences right now but I remember they are pretty easy to set up so it will come on as you have set it. My 98 900SET and my wife's 99 9-3SE HOT are both programmed to make a quick freezer cuz we live in FL. They both seem to do OK. More air flow than our previous 87 900T and 88 900T. I have had to go to the dealer and have a temp switch relpaced though, which caused the compressor not to know when to come on. So, if you can't get the programming changes to do what you want, there is always a bit of help at the dealer. Good luck and ~cool~ SAABing chip grabow wrote in message <37B47D70.813F079nopsamk.net>... >among a list of minor annoyances with my 3 month old 9-3, the erratic >behavior of the A/C tops it. > >sometimes when i first turn on the A/c by hitting the ACC button twice >it will start blowing cool air within 30 seconds. other times, i feel >nothing for 30 secs, then about 2 mins of WARM air blowing (fan at low >speed) at feet level. then maybe it gets gradually cooler and the fan >speed picks up and after boiling in a hot car for 6 mins. or so, i >finally have normal feeling A/C. > >my point is a brand new car shouldn't be blowing hot air when you first >turn on the A/C. that's what my parents' Ford's did in the 70s. my '96 >Jetta could blow freezing air almost immediately after turning on the A/C. > >so what's the dilly?
