Subject: Wheel vibration, AC story...

I've got a 89 900 that seems to be vibrating increasingly... is there any way this could be other than wheel balance?  Could 1000 miles of tread wear change the vibration? My AC problem of a while ago (it was fine most of the time, but would drop out momentarily) was said to the compressor hose, by the dealer.  Also the alternator was only putting out 12.7V or so.... and after insisting that they put my rebuilt in anyway, they found the alternator bracket broken.  My theory is: the broken bracket would certainly make the alternator slip and the AC system would not work well when the voltage dipped as the cooling fans kicked on.  Would the relay drop out at low voltage?  Any other theories? -Dan Dan.Burnettnopsamxerox.com
