Subject: My Saab won't start first time!

I've just acquired my first Saab, a beautiful 1989 900i. Hopefully it was a snip at £875, but it has a problem starting after being left overnight, it does however manage eventually after about 8 attempts (starting it after this during the rest of the day is no problem). I haven't had time to check the obvious things like leads and plugs yet, but I did clean the points (one of which looks a bit worn). I was wondering if any of you Saab owners out there have experienced any similar problems (at least one person has told told me that automatic chokes are prone to this sort of behaviour) and could offer some suggestions. It may be relevant that the car had apparently stood virtually idle for about 3 months before purchase. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and could anybody point me in the right direction to getting hold of a handbook for this model? And if it's not perfectly obvious from this post, I am a luddite as far as cars are concerned :-) Pete
