You should be able to find one of these for under $4k no problem. Don't buy a base model (plain ol' 900) of this vintage as they are 8v engines, and, even with a 5-speed are pretty slow. Make sure it's a 16v. Another good bet would be an '85 900 Turbo - you should be able to find one easily for under $3k. Just be sure the wiring harness is in good shape as the '85s are prone to disintigration. If it's been replaced, it won't happen again. If it needs to be done, the harness costs about $300 and replacement takes about two hours. -Justin
