recently I had to have the head gasket of my Saab 1992 900 se turbo replaced. I was told by the mechanic that he had to remove the timing chain to do this. But not only that he had to cut a link because there was no removable link. After he had to cut that link no new removable connector link was available in new Zealand or Australia and total new timing chain had to be installed at a considerable cost. I find this all very hard to believe is there anybody who can give me some information about this. Kees
