Ok, The night I got my car I read through the owner's manual, cover to cover. There is a paragraph in the manual about automated car washes and avoiding them for the first 6-8 months of ownership. My dilemma is that my town is in an absolute water ban, so I can't wash my car with a hose, and all of the car washes around me are fabric baesd, as opposed to "touchless". My wife's car, not a Saab, had some baked on bird droppings, which have left a mark in the finish. I now have bird droppings, that I've been cleaning one by one with a sponge and ivory soap. I really need to wash my car, but am paranoid about destroying the finish by taking it through an automated wash too early. How valid is the 6-8 month waiting period?
