I just replaced my old Bougicords with the cheapest leads available in UK - £12 Halfords. Noticeably quiter idle, and seemingly at slightly lower revs. Seems to drive slightly better. Moral of the story - new leads are better than old (whatever the make.....) Thanks to everyone for expressing their views. Andy
