Subject: Re: 9-5 SE V6 vs. 9-5 Aero

I'll chime in here. I've had my 99 9-5 SE V6 since June. Absolutely love it. Third Saab I've owned. Torque is exceptional, although you really have to be in the Sport mode to notice it over the standard 4 cylinder LPT (I've driven two of the 9-5 4 cylinder models for several days during routine service, at no charge from the dealer mind you). Having said that... I really wanted an Aero, even back in June when I didn't know the specs on it, but couldn't wait till October or whenever they'd be available. There's been some talk of the V6 engine's supposed development problems and the like. I've seen none. If I do develop any over my three year lease, you can be sure I'll post it to the list. The 4 cylinder engines by Saab are great little things. I just didn't think the LPT 2.3 had enough spunk for me. Of course, the Aero will, but I believe it will be another 3-5K over the V6. I don't think pricing is yet available. If you have any specific questions on the V6 9-5, let me know, and I'll answer them. I'm up to 6K miles with not one (not one!) problem. Very happy, although I may get some sport dampers from Accelerated Response to tighten up the vehicle. Last trip: Pittsburgh to West Chester PA (<turbospgnopsamsouth.net> wrote in message > news:37D80398.51AD6656nopsamsouth.net... > > 9-5se:luxary driver > > 9-5 aero: sport driver > > > > ratablancanopsameja.com wrote: > > > > > Greetings, > > > > > > Intro: > > > > > > I have been trying to get my hands on a spanking new '99 9-5 SE V6 > > > (silver with gray interior) with no luck.
