First, check http://www.saabnet.com/ . This is a great site for general SAAB info. Comparisons amoung the years: generally the newer the car, the better equipped it is... but also the more complicated. There is no significant difference in the '92-'94. Better brakes in '88. ABS started in '90. My only advice is to stay away from the automatics. They reduce the "driving fun" factor and can be an expensive repair. Good Luck!
